We have several events coming up next week.

Our first home meet and second dual meet of the season is against the Fallen Timbers Frogs on Tuesday, June 26th.  All Delta Swim Team members need to be at the pool no later than 8:30am.  Please make sure you sign up for the meet if you plan on attending.  There is no Dolfuns practice this day but we encourage you to bring your Dolfun to the meet to cheer on their instructor.

Team pictures will be taken on June 27.  All swim team members and Dolfuns are encouraged to be in the team picture.  We ask that everyone be at the pool no later than 9:45am and the team photo will be taken at 10am.  Forms to order pictures can be found on the forms page.  

 Family Fun Night is scheduled for Thursday June 28 beginning at 7pm.  All swim team and Dolfuns and their immediate family are invited.  Please do not bring friends with you as they will not be allowed to participate.  Please sign up at the pool and note how many from your family will attend. We ask that all families that attend bring something to share: ie chips cookies or snacks. 

We have posted a document on the forms page that outlines all the upcoming events.  We have a swim a thon and the Delta Chicken Festival Parade coming up in July.  All swim team members and dolfuns are invited to participate in the parade.

 

Our philosophy: is to promote physical fitness, develop leadership qualities and sportsmanship, encourage team involvemeuont, foster self discipline, build self confidence and provide a competitive swimming experience in an            environment where a swimmers full potential may be reached.

About our team: The Delta Dolphins Summer Swim Program has been in existence for over 20 years.  We are members in the Ohio Michigan Summer Swim League (OMSSL).  The team practices at the Delta Municipal Park Pool located at 511 Taylor St. Delta, Ohio 43515.  We compete in 5 dual meets and a championship meet each season.  Swimmers from all  areas,  ages 4-18 of all abilities are eligible to participate on the team.

Prerequisites for swim team participation

8 and under: Must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 meters).

9 and over: Must be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool (50 meters).

Swimmers who are unable to fulfill these requirements are encouraged to participate in the Dolfuns program until they can meet the requirements.

All new swimmers are encouraged to try out the program risk free.  A full refund will be given if after the first week (5 days) you chose not to continue.
